↳ (7/10) Alphonse Elric: "I don't want to be alone at night anymore..!!"This makes me want to cry. In the manga, we don’t really see much of Al at night (except maybe these two panels) so we can’t truly understand how painful it is to be alone all night every night or the horrible despair he has to be with.But when Al says that line, it is blatantly obvious that it is horrifying. All the unnecessary thoughts that he comes up with, all the guilt he pushes to himself, and the isolation he is forced into every night would drive any person mad. But see, that’t the amazing thing about Al. For four years he was in that armor and he was always the adorable Alphonse he was when he was ten (a little more mature, though). He overcame that challenge and put his terrifying body to use to help others. He was a suit of armor but he managed to stay as human as anyone else.
